In February 2011, we showcased our "Light as Air" collection at the “Fashion Against HIV” event in hopes raise awareness for HIV and AIDS as well as address discrimination of people infected with HIV and AIDS.

HIV is still a major issue in Nigeria with many young people vulnerable to infection due to lack of awareness and abuse. Though most of us know  a lot about the causes and means of transmission of this virus, thousands of Nigerians are still infected each year. Nigerian fashion consultants, the Style Agency is doing something major to raise awareness for HIV and AIDS as well as  address discrimination of people infected with HIV and AIDS. The initiative is called PROJECT RED.

This weekend, the Style Agency will host a “Fashion Against HIV” event. The event features a fashion show, celebrity “walk” and art exhibition. The event will feature designers including Prima Rouge, Wana Sambo, IamISIGO, Remi Buttons, D’moore, Simeogieme, Fablane by Derin, Literati, amongst others. Celebrities billed to take the stage include DIPP, Uche Jombo, Oge Okoye, Mo’Cheddah and Lami – all of these celebrities will rock the runway for this great cause.
